Professional Background

Dr. Stefenie King is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in family medicine, primary care, and medical education. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (June 2002 – May 2005). Dr. Stefenie has served in several leadership roles, including Medical Director at Rochester Regional Health and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Unity Hospital, where she provided high-level oversight of 50 clinical providers. She has also worked as a Family Medicine Clinician at Unity Family Medicine at Parkway, caring for multigenerational patients and families. Currently, Dr. King is a Primary Care Physician with Ash Medical Clinic in Toronto, Canada and a telehealth provider with Teladoc.

Contribution to Education and Teaching

Dr. King has significantly contributed to medical education throughout her career. She served as a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine at the University of Rochester, training family medicine residents, and as Predoctoral Director of Family Medicine, where she placed medical students with preceptors in the community for exceptional learning experiences. Her teaching excellence has been recognized with awards, including the Pfizer Teacher Development Award (2012) and being named Highland Family Medicine Community Preceptor of the Year (2012).

Outside of her professional career, Dr. King has interests in cycling, running, reading and traveling.
